Room 09 - Migration

To this day, people who came here at different times and stayed, have left their impression on the city and the district of Celle. Using the example of the Huguenot religious refugees of the 17th century, the refugees and expellees who came to the region as a result of the Second World War, and the êzidi-kurdish refugees in the second half of the 20th century, this tour shows people's experiences of losing their homes and settling in a foreign country.
