Find out more about our media guide and the Bomann Museum Celle.

The Bomann Museum, one of the largest and most important museums in Lower Saxony, is located in the centre of the city, directly opposite Celle Castle. Founded in 1892 as the "Vaterländisches Museum", it was named after its first director Wilhelm Bomann in 1923. The museum on Schloßplatz presents extensive collections on Lower Saxony's folklore and cultural history as well as on Celle's regional and urban history.
