Room 08 - Discovering the Heath

This tour focuses on the Lüneburg Heath - on its discovery by travellers, artists and literary figures and on its development by excursionists and walkers, who form the basis for the region's touristic use. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the two literary figures Hermann Lens and Arno Schmidt, who certainly could not be more different.
