The Hall of honour is a museum within a museum. This is because Hanoverian military history has been a focus of the collection since the museum was founded in 1892. The museum acquires uniforms and weapons as well as military equipment and memorabilia. Their presentation is an important criterion in the planning of the new museum building. Therefore, a 160 square metre and 10 metre high Hall of Remembrance and Honour for the Hanoverian Army has been planned from the outset as a permanent military history exhibition.
