Founded in 1892 and named after its first director Wilhelm Bomann in 1923, the Bomann Museum, in six thematic tours, displays an extensive collection of Lower Saxony folklore and cultural history as well as Celle's regional and urban history.
The tours focus on people and convey everyday ways of life and living conditions of past epochs. Starting from these small, socially and geographically manageable topics, larger contemporary historical contexts and their significance for our present become comprehensible.
Out of consideration for other visitors, please use headphones during your visit to the museum.
